The Heritage Colloquium

The Heritage Training® + MSMS

The Heritage Colloquium is a series of workshops designed exclusively for Heritage Training® graduates. Each course draws on the Heritage Training® material as a large part of our movement palette while applying the MSMS approach to understanding the body in motion. Because HT graduates already have an understanding of the basic movement vocabulary we use in the MSMS courses, in this program we will be able to spend more time on advanced topics, including rehabilitative strategies for working with common pathologies and persistent pain.
The Seminars of The Heritage Colloquium: Heritage Training® + MSMS (Movement Science Made Simple) in order are:
#1- Look, Listen, Push, Pull- Working with Upper Quarter Pain & Dysfunction
  • focusing on the upper quarter of the body (i.e., the neck, shoulders, and arms), with a focus on working with pain and injuries in this area.
#2- Separate but Connected- Working with Low Back and Hip Pain & Dysfunction
  • focusing on the Lumbar Spine and Pelvic Girdle, with additional information on working with pain and injuries in this area.
#3- Your Song Is Your Strength- Working with The Breathing Mechanism & Core Control
  • focusing on the abdominals, diaphragm, and pelvic floor, with additional info on working with pain and injuries in this area.
#4- Stand and Deliver- Working with The Lower Extremity Kinetic Chain
  • focusing on the lower extremity, with an emphasis on how the hip and the foot affect the knee, with additional information on working with pain and injuries in this area.
#5- The Brain in Pain- Working with The Nervous System, Movement Coaching & Modern Neuroscience
  • updating our understanding of pain, with an emphasis on getting clients with common painful conditions moving successfully again.
